The Same were a six piece group who recorded Sync Or Swim in peaceful Wiltshire, UK between September 18th and October 6th 1981. 1000 copies were pressed and released on Unlikely Records as UR17. A cassette version ( URT17 ) followed in 1984. Over the years, and somewhat to my surprise, this album has become rather sought after with s/h copies selling for over £50. It is now remastered from the original reel-to-reel tape and here for all to enjoy, or not. To quote The Same's electric guitarist Andy Thomas 'Mostly rubbish with a few interesting bits here and there!' Hah! What does he know? Having not heard parts of it for over 30 years I was surprised at the complexity of the recording we made on a 4 track machine (with a lot of overdubbing). Modesty aside, my bass playing is better than I remembered it to be too. Enough......
