Fantastic. Highly recommended.

Maybe it was lost somewhere in the translation, but the name Sammie America's MAM would never have the ring of a post-punk synthwave band, more likely a crass American hair rock band. This is a great album verging on dark post-punk and new wave, but leaning ever so slightly towards synthpop - the mix works and the end result is a band who would have had much greater success outside their home Dutch market, possibly on US college radio, had they chosen a different name. Sammie America eventually moved on and they become just plain old MAM.
