Online Dating is the debut album from Trypheme aka Tiphaine Belin, out on Sheffield based electronic label, Central Processing Unit. Trypheme, from Lyon, France, takes influence from 80s synth, experimental IDM and French electro, but has created a very personal sound. Her floating vocals tie together the heavy synth and syncopated drum patterns throughout the album, resulting in a pop-friendly record. It's got super-tight production and an overall warm romanticism. Highlights include the 80s pop feeling ‘Light Light Light’ and the aptly named ‘Acid Dream.’ Expect a string of killer of house and techno remixes once this album takes off.
